Tigerforest is an electronic, ambient and chill out music project from German born music composer and producer Gunnar Spardel. Together with a beautiful array of highly gifted guest musicians from all around the globe he is creating visionary sounds inspired by nature's deepest mysteries
“The Sound of Life” is a marvel of an album with an epic feel, including cinematic strings, deep bass lines, vibrant piano melodies, soothing vocals and warm atmospheric beats, placing you in the environment of a comfortable, relaxing crowd at the sunset beachside, calm waters rolling. Behind this piece of art stands Gunnar Spardel aka Tigerforest, which music can best be described as clearly understated, ‘trancy’, and 'mellow' at times, while at other times its pure dance floor adrenaline. The album really has an eclectic range of soothing vocals like Amethyste, Tiff Lacey, Inga, Kara Johnstad, Amy Barbara and Jennifer Deann Scott, accentuating such a beautiful flourish of artistic resplendence. It leaves you mesmerized as time passes us by, our foolishness of not noting its splendor and leaving us to wish that we could, indeed, turn back time.
This music surpasses the vibrancy and exotica of Ibiza to guide a listener through lush phases of synthetic strings, percolating dance rhythms and provocative acoustic samples to a sense of rejuvenated relaxation. This is really best experienced on headphones but you won't want to keep this technical yet movingly human masterpiece to yourself.
Open your eyes, heart, and ears to a melodic tone that carries you from the laboring workload, into the skies above you, allowing you to explore what is the sound of life.

Tigerforest stands out of other trance acts in style and originality. His creation is evolving as one of the more progressive sounds of dance music today. A cool combination of hypnotic break beats, straight forward trance dance and dreamy soundscapes – these are just the few words, that we can use to describe his new title “Daybreak”, which displays an ambient, otherworldly vibe, allowing the listener to latch on to his groove and ride it home. The tunes are smooth as silk and you simply glide from one to the next. The whole album takes you on a musical journey. It's a great source of inspiration. It starts off soft and dreamy, slow, then builds and gets to faster trancey music. The transition is done so well that it's very easy to listen to, even if you're not in the mood for fast music. It's so powerful it drenches you with emotion and carries you away from whatever you were feeling before.
"Daybreak" is one of those serendipitous finds. If you've never listened to any ambient music before, take a gamble on this CD. A must have. If you can hunt this disc down, do it. You will be glad you did.

Islands is an essential collection of sun soaked music by Tigerforest, aka german music producer Gunnar Spardel. Brandnew summer inspired songs and also some reworks of well known tracks will take you on an audio visual journey. Guest musicians include Piano Virtuoso Doug Hammer and Ambient Musician David Helpling, as well as the always stunning ethereal soprano vocalist Amethyste who is also playing the Theremin on the closing song "Luna Park".
This album is a very intimate work and Gunnar’s most personal statement to date. The music suggests to find refuge in the real world and in fantasy. Dreamy melodic synthesizer sounds and hypnotic pearling sequences invite the listener to drift away into a global journey.
Grand pianos, austere digital synths and subtle percussive shadings complete the feeling of an exciting journey to a far away island..

Into the Deepsea of Sound...
"The very first time I came into contact with a keyboard was already at the age of 12 when I began to take keyboard lessons. Unfortunately it took more than further 3 years till I finally came into contact with my first synthesizer. That was in late 1995. I was already very familiar with the world of electronic music for years. After nearly two years of pure "experiments" and technically not well equipped I started to compose my own music and today with a look over my shoulders, I see that was definitly the right decision for me."
Back in 2006, Tigerforest won a NDR2 radio competition and received airplay on one of Germany's top stations. Tigerforest's first CD "The Sound of Life" was released in 2006 on CDBaby and saw a re-release in 2007 through Amadea Records.
The second CD "Daybreak" was also released through Amadea Records later in 2009. During that year Tigerforest was nominated for a Just Plain Folks award in Nashville / Tennesse for Best New Age Single of the year (Longing for the Sun / The Sound of Life).
Being driven by music for picture, Gunnar Spardel has also provided several themes, scores and ambient beds for numerous independent movies, commercials and short films from all around the globe. 2008's movie Dead Men by Scott Hansen won several prices at the New York Independent Film Festival.
At once uplifting and otherworldly, the music of Tigerforest combines multilayered synthesizers with beats and ethereal vocals, serving as an aural escape route from the trappings of reality.
